Kimpoy Feliciano truly is a child of these social networking times. Although based thousands of miles away in New Zealand, the 19-year-old commands quite a following here in the country, connecting with thousands of young Filipinos thanks to his laptop computer.

Thousands isn’t hyperbole either. Kimpoy’s Twitter account (@kimpoyfeliciano) has more than 400,000 followers. His Tumblr (kimpoyfeliciano.tumblr.com) blog has enjoyed more than seven million views. His Instagram has more than 40,000 followers, and the number of likes on his Facebook Fan Page number more than 90,000. His Youtube video, “Hi Miss… Pinoy Banats,” has amassed more than 900,000 views, and he’s been on the Worldwide Twitter Trending Topics five times.

What’s even more impressive is that the Marketing student from the University of Otago has accomplished most of these even before his first appearance in mainstream media!

Even Kimpoy is as baffled as to how popular he has become on multiple social media platforms. But whether they’re drawn to him out of curiosity or by his Everyman appeal, he’s thankful that they’re here to support him.

And with a great number of followers come great responsibility, or at least that’s the way Kimpoy likes to think. He takes his role as “Kuya Kimpoy” seriously, often giving advice to the multitude of questions left in his Tumblr Ask box by his followers.

Day 43 - A picture of something that makes u cry!

Our last picture together. Every time tinitingnan ko ‘to it breaks my heart. I cried a lot pero kailangan ko ihide na weak ako sa good byes. Kahit na madalas wala siya sa sarili (although madalas naman talaga) nakakatuwa siya. Ang laki lang ng naitulong niya sa akin. If I have the magic door of Doraemon pupuntahan ka namin dyan lagi. i miss you to the nth power Mongadow!

A year ago I wrote an essay entitled “For whoever you are”. It’s about what I dream of having my future relationship and now this is the time to level up what I wrote before.

He’s the man that I love to talk for 24/7 over the phone. We laugh together on the simple things that satisfy our happiness. He’s the man who accepts me in my own good ways even in my flaws.

The guy who cheers me up whenever I feel hopeless and down. An indeed good man who respects and help me, most specially who listen on me even in my opinions. The man who puts smile on face, who sings for me no matter what he’s not a singer, who wakes me up every morning and willing to hear my voice even it’s a horrible one.

I never dreamed for a good looking one but having Terence and his charm is just a bonus point and I’m thankful for that. ☺
